Bethany Wappler
SINGER/SONGWRITER
Bethany is an acoustic folk singer and songwriter from Inverness, Scotland known best for her mellow melody and meaningful lyrics.
Bethany began writing professionally at the age of 17 whilst learning a range of instruments, guitar, piano, bass, ukulele and samba drums. She then went on to study music at Perth UHI. During this time Bethany released her debut EP Moments, a collection of 5 acoustic folk songs. Which recently featured on The Future Starts Here radio show. This year has already seen her invited to perform at Glasgow's Celtic Connections on Campus Festival, and Groove Cairngorm Festival ahead of the release of her new EP, Battles being released on the 27th April 2018.
Battles, tells the story of the emotional struggles many of us tackle throughout our lives. Writing Battles was an outlet for Bethany, as she struggles to communicating her emotions from a young age. This is why Battles is so raw and emotional.
By being compared to the likes of Gabrielle Aplin and Birdy, you can tell just how much of a true artist Bethany is and 2018 is set to be a big year for the young singer/songwriter.
